A successful stand-up comedian with a beautiful family, Jake Johannsen’s life is upended with the arrival of a series of postcards from his ex-girlfriend Julia. True, his feelings for her haven’t quite been laid to rest. But what’s worse, Julia’s been dead for five years! How does a dead person send postcards?! Jake turns to his friend Tommy, a conspiracy enthusiast, who convinces him the search for an explanation should be documented. Together, they access Tommy’s network of “experts” in a loopy journey into the paranormal, conspiratorial, plain weird, and weirdly hilarious.
“Address Unknown” straddles the line between “The X-Files” and “Monk.” A thriller that veers into the absurd, it’s a “Thrilledy.”
